Another useful division, possibly even a new genre, is branded entertainment. In the Motherhood and Novel Adventures are two examples of series that have sprung up just to promote brands.
This is a great blog. Thanks for all the info, analysis and a wealth of links. Fabulous!

This post brought me to your blog. But I'm going explore the rest - looks like a treasure trove of info and insights. BTW, if you aren't familiar with my company, Electric Farm Entertainment, please Google us. We've produced two successful webseries, AFTERWORLD and GEMINI DIVISION. And we have three more shows slated for production in '09. From our vantage point, the New Media business is definitely crawling from the primordial ooze on two rubbery legs. Won't be long now til we're clubbing each with sticks...

Keep up the good work,

Brent Friedman
Partner, Electric Farm Entertainment

ps - Please check out this media blog, the first one I've found that is diligently and intelligently reviewing webseries... episode by episode!

Hi Brent

Thanks for the message -- hope to be linking to
http://afterworld.tv
and
http://www.geminidivision.com/
very soon.

Getting an awful lot of messages saying "the clip you selected isn't available from your location" but will be posting a possible solution to this soon...
