Quirky American comedian Kristen Schaal's web series Penelope: Princess Of Pets could be made into a pilot for Channel 4.
She and double-act partner Kurt Braunohler made five episodes of the offbeat show for now-defunct website Super Deluxe.
And now Schaal, who plays obsessed fan Mel in the Flight Of The Conchords TV series, says it ‘looks like' they will be developing the offbeat show for Channel 4.
She told US website Punchline: ‘This year, it's going to be me trying to figure out how to make a pilot in London.'
Hello I’m Sanderson Jones, and this is the first step in my mission to personally sell all the tickets to a massive gig in October. The idea started at the Edinburgh Fringe festival last year, when I sold tickets to my own stand up show on the street. Having once been a door-to-door salesman in the South of France (considerably less like a porn film than you’d think), chatting to festival goers enjoying themselves in the sun was a cinch and, even better, was playing to a crowd of folk I’d met before.
Doing gigs where I’d personally begged/persuaded the vast majority of the audience to come, crossed some weird boundary of intimacy (not weird like that). Clearly mystical juju takes place when the balance of power is altered, like a million souls crying out at once. As the festival continued a few thoughts coalesced into this idea (creativity in action!): if I could sell that many tickets to 25 shows, wouldn’t it be even more ridiculous to sell all the tickets to one big show?
This is me explaining ComedySale.Com. It's part-website, part-mission as I try to personally sell all 500 tickets to a one off stand up show (performed by me) at the Union Chapel. I have to personally sell all the tickets: no internet sales, no venue sales, no phone sales.
Finally - fancy getting these blog posts sent to you directly from me by email? If you do, just click here to try it out! THANKS to EVERYONE who has signed up - It really helps me keep going with writing these!
YouTube is to invest €500,000 (£441,000) in a scheme to support UK digital talent.
The YouTube NextUp fund will allow up to 25 people to win a €20,000 grant to develop their content on the video-sharing website, as well as a place at a "creator camp" that will give training in production techniques.
To apply, creators must be YouTube partners – content producers who earn revenue through their accounts. YouTube said they could include singers, dancers, actors, producers, musicians or makeup artists who create their own video content.
"The series itself is a comedy/drama about James (a suit and tie office worker) who moves into a share house on a street named "The Verge". James quickly realises that he is the "normal" one in a house full of eccentric archetypes (stoner/drug dealer, promiscuous young uni student, closet case homosexual Goth, tyrannical law secretary), and due to events that lead him to live at "The Verge" he must accept his fate and become a member of the house.
Come to the place where anything can happen in one of the craziest share houses in all of Australia. Some believe, "the world becomes wilder, when you're living on the edge..." Others say: "Welcome to The Verge".
Set in modern day Brisbane, 'The Verge' is an interactive web series about a house of 20-somethings, living, working, playing, partying and loving every minute of it. The house mates form an eclectic melting pot with casual flings, heady relationships, good friends, jealous rivals, sex, drugs and a killer soundtrack to boot.
Set in a house on a street called 'The Verge' the show is about a group of housemates with very different personalities all trying to learn to get along and live together. Follow the weekly adventures of James, Nate, Rachel, Blake and Bec in the most unruly house you will ever come across!
This first video is our extended teaser trailer with many more shows to come.
...I'm contacting you to let you know that our trailer is live and to introduce you to our show. You may recognize Becki Kregoski from lonelygirl15. The primary goal for "Neighborhood Watch at The Hollywood" is innovation.
For better or worse, it will be different. We'll have 3 alternative endings and interactivity. I also will want to try something a little different with the release schedule and exclusivity of content.
Today I'd like to introduce you to an innovative concept in storytelling called "Forced Perspective." Please take a minute (1:10 to be exact) and check out our trailer.
Four single women who reside in the same apartment complex experience life and love in today’s world.
The seemingly perfect living arrangements are anything but as unknown to them, not only is every aspect of their lives being monitored and recorded within the complex but other tenants move out with no explanation.
Friendships will be put to the test and lives forever changed as the truth behind the mystery slowly comes to light.
Watch events unfold through the eyes of the security system's mysterious operator.
“Neighborhood Watch at The Hollywood” incorporates an innovative storytelling device called "Forced Perspective." Forced perspective is essentially first person point of view, which is nothing new, however the difference is that the viewer is forced to see the entire story through a character's perspective.
The powerful aspect of Forced Perspective is that the viewer doesn't get to see what they want to see or even what they are used to seeing. There is no hand holding. There are no zoom shots to direct your attention to where clues might be-you're going to have to find them yourself.
In “Neighborhood Watch at The Hollywood” the viewer is immediately introduced to the control panel of The Hollywood's state of the art security system and it becomes evident that they are watching someone use it to monitor the tenants.
The console is completely functional and the operator has access to not only security cam footage but also video from cams hidden in apartments as well as mobile cams. Only the security system's operator controls what is seen and when and discovering their identity is central to the plot.
Cast Pictured L-R: Kirsten Scoles, Windham Beacham, Sharon Ingram, Lisa Kowalski, Becki Kregoski and Andrew Lander.

The stand-up comedy scene is thriving in Ireland. But most comedians are not. PUNCHLINE is a drama revolving around the lives of three comedians in varying states of poverty, excess and general self-hate. Comedy is no laughing matter.

A submission from Mercuryboy Inc for RTE's Storyland 2010. It's a satirical look at the ad industry through the eyes of a junior copywriter.
Shane and Joel have been in the industry 11 months and are still desperately trying to make a name for themselves before their first year review. Shane, the copywriter and main character, is neurotic and self-loathing and hates his team mate Joel. The show will monitor Shanes consistent self-sabotage and crumbling personal life.
Okay, there are going to be a few more of these today...
This one's been on StoryGas before - but all the episodes suddenly disappeared from YouTube... Maybe being entered for Irish broadcaster RTÉ STORYLAND 2 is the reason why...

This is our 30 second pitch for RTE's Storyland 2 competition. The series will follow Jack, a recent communications graduate, in his new job as a door-to-door salesman. If we get through, you can expect Jack to have various run-ins with fellow employees and potential customers alike. You can also expect to meet other characters like Conor, the self proclaimed success story, Páidí, the charmer and master salesman and Angry Mike.
Thanks to a post on Boards.ie, looks like the RTE STORYLAND 2 shortlist for 2010 will emerge on Tuesday?
"Our producer got an email from Storyland today (as I presume most entrants would have) saying that shortlisted projects would be informed by 24th November."
So lets see if we can't get any more out on here today:-
