From Cap'n Wacky's Boatload of Fun:-
"Comedy website Cap'n Wacky's Boatload of Fun ( celebrates its tenth year of online publishing.

Site founders Brodie H. Brockie and RJ White first launched the site on August 3, 1999. At the time, it featured a small assortment of parodies of well-known websites and the corporate intranet of the site's fictional parent company, Amalgamated Humor, Inc.

Since that time, the site has grown enormously, adding a multitude of additional subsections and features. Sites on the Unfortunate Page featuring vintage holiday cards and snarky asides have become annual traditions for many readers. The Deadly Follies of Stick Figure Warning Man and The Parade of Unfortunate Star Wars Cards have both been featured as a Yahoo pick of the day.

"One of our proudest moments was when we received a cease and desist letter from a lawyer representing the Choose Your Own Adventure series," Brockie said. "We had been posting a parody series of sad, adult versions of their books for adults, stupidly under the same name. We didn't realize the originals still existed."

In recent years, the site has added video comedy, including the series "The Knox Sisters Mysteries" and "Emily Jane and the Magic Hobo." Aside from occasional breaks for redesigns and reinvigorations, the site has updated on a nearly weekly basis for the past ten years and will continue to grow.

"Later this year we'll be posting the web site for Cap'n Wacky World, featuring a virtual tour of Amalgamated Humor's resort destination," said Brockie. "It's going to be one of the bigger features we've done in quite a while. We're still having fun."
